Intimate Lake of Bays Wedding at the Portage Inn, Huntsville Ontario

This day, ohhh my! I think it is maybe one of my favourite days of all time, for a number of reasons. Megan and Mac said I do at the dreamy Portage Inn, nestled on the shores of Lake of Bays, Ontario.  This cozy cottage is at the end of a long, winding road, underneath the tall pine trees. Married at the end of summer, into the fall, the leaves were already starting to turn, but the warm sun was still making cottage country life sweet.

Being an Ontario Elopement and Intimate Wedding Photographer, I am beyond lucky to photograph love in magical Northern Ontario; from Muskoka to Parry Sound, Huntsville to Haliburton and here at the beautiful Lake of Bays.  Mama nature was cheering Meg & Mac on the whole day, with beautiful sun, then overcast skies to sun again. The clouds rolled in as their families were setting up for their ceremony overlooking Lake of Bays, and it poured!  The weather let up just enough to let Meg & Mac say their I do’s, with the most beautiful sunset.  While sitting down to dinner, the wind storm knocked out the power at the Portage Inn, and everyone was in such amazing spirits about it!

Meg & Mac, thank you so much for including me in such an incredible day, one that will go down as one of my absolute favourite intimate weddings I’ve ever photographed!
