End of summer weddings are some of my favourites, and Melisa + Stuart’s was nothing short of a beautiful day filled with so much love from their family + friends. I packed the car and drove out to Windsor, Ontario to photograph their day at the Rochester Place Golf Club, nestled in by the lake. You saw their engagement here, and just by those images you can tell how much love they have for one another – and how much they love the outdoors! Just as the ceremony was about to begin, the rain decided to shower down, but it didn’t get these two and their families down one bit. We escaped inside, and the band started up with the best bongos and spanish guitar, as they danced the rain away. After the most awesome mini-party, the clouds cleared, and it felt like we escaped to a bohemian paradise. Their ceremony was one of the most meaningful I’ve been a part of; maybe it was because of everyone coming together to have such an amazing time before they said their vows! Meli + Stuart had a great friend as their officiant, and the way he spoke about life and love was so eye opening – I wish I had a recording of the words he used; those tears were totally flowing as I was looking through my lens! Meli + Stuart, thank you so much for having me a part of an amazing day, I wish you so much love!
