At the sweet beginning of summer, Brittany & Derek said their I do’s on the shores of Lake Simcoe, in Keswick, Ontario, in front of the most intimate number of their loved ones, including their pup Toretto. Lake Simcoe is the tip of our cottage country, and I can’t even express enough how much I love photographing weddings & love in our beautiful land of lakes. I was so floored and excited when an amazing photographer friend, Jessy Gouveia sent this sweet couple my way, and as soon they began to tell me their wedding plans of a lakeside ceremony, I couldn’t wait to photograph what love was for them. Everything about Brit & Derek’s day was completely heartfelt; the way they looked at one another the entire day was moving. From their first look, to their intimate ceremony just a few steps from the lake, to ending the night under the full moon with their first dance, holding on ever so tight. Brittany’s best gal Jessy surprised Brit on the morning of her day with the amazing Just Married Jacket, created by Toronto Calligrapher, Sylvia Wong, and Brit rocked the hell out of it.
