Photography has introduced me to some of the most amazing people; from the sweet couples and families who trust me with their moments every day, to the incredibly talented and kind people who work behind the scenes to bring a wedding day or event to life. Cait is one of those magical humans. She is one bad ass baker who specializes in the yummiest cakes and desserts and is the queen behind Cakelaine. She is one of the most thoughtful and lovely people, and I am truly grateful to have met her through this amazing industry, and to have her as the sweetest friend who makes me laugh so hard whenever we’re together.
I was so lucky to be able to photograph Cait and her sweet guy Nick one warm end of summer eve just down the street from us at one of my favourite places. We had a sweet summer couples session at the 5 Drive In in Oakville and we all loved on it so much. I’ve always wanted to photograph love here; its so magical watching movies in the open air underneath the stars and moon, so when Cait had the idea to have her photos taken there, we both got so excited. Her sweet beau made us all laugh super hard and made the photos even more amazing with their big smiles and laughs throughout the eve. We all cozied up in the setting sun with a mountain of pillows and blankets, and created the loveliest set of photographs for these two lovers who just celebrated seven years together a few days ago. The four of us got to lay in the back of the pick up and watch a movie, all pop-corned up underneath the most beautiful blanket of stars.
Cait & Nick, I am so grateful for the two of you and to have had the chance to photograph your love so young and free! So much love for the two of you always.
