Love being up North? I do too! If you’re wondering where to get a beautiful Muskoka setting for your engagement photos, look no further. Surprisingly, I was able to create and capture this winter wonderland steps from our home in my parent’s backyard in Port Credit, Ontario! The tall pines resembling the ones we love so much in Northern Ontario, and over the years, my dad ended up bringing a few of the baby trees back from our cottage in Parry Sound. He loved being up there so much – he wanted to bring a piece of Muskoka down here to home. He built both cabins in the backyard for that reason too; a mini northern getaway just steps from their back door. As cozy as it was photographing the most amazing couples in my childhood backyard, I absolutely love traveling for couples that have the same love for the north, with some of my favourite weddings and engagement sessions taking place in and around the Muskoka area.
Capturing these photos for Lindsay and Caleb was so sweet, as they have been dating for just a year, and that new couple spark was totally on fire – love em just so much.
